Description
Maca is a member of the cruciferous family of plants (like broccoli and cabbage) and is grown for its root in the high Peruvean Andeas. It has immune-enhancing, adaptogen, aphrodisiac, and energy enhancing properties, and is rich in calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, and vitamins B1, B2, C, and E, as well as trace minerals zinc, iodine, copper, selenium, bismuth, manganese, tin, and silicon. With an earthy, slightly nutty taste hinting of butterscotch, it’s great in smoothies, mylks, and desserts. Grown in Peru.
