Diatomaceous earth is fossilized marine phytoplankton from freshwater lakes. It crumbles into a fine, soft, white powder and can be beneficial in your home, garden (as a non-toxic pesticide), pets, and internally or externally for people. As a mild abrasive it is used for internal cleansing and is believed to promote regularity and help rid the body of parasites and heavy metals.
