Holy Basil is a member of the Mint family and native to the Indian sub-continent. Also known as Tulsi, it is one of the most sacred plants in India. Used in Aruyvedic as well as ancient Roman and Greek medicines for fever, colds, infections, asthma, and stress, Tulsi has adaptogenic properties, helping the body restore balance after stress, and demonstrates antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties.
