We are so happy to participate in the yearly city-wide Hot Chocolate Festival (Jan 19-Feb 14), offering up organic drinks and treats that are also vegan and gluten free but not at all lacking in tastiness!
Our first entry from Jan 19 – Feb 1 is “A Kinder Caramel” – a salted caramel hot chocolate paired with a gluten-free shortbread cookie. Caramel is traditionally not very kind, made from unhealthy and cruel dairy products like cow’s milk, cream and butter. We don’t dig that, so we make our caramel with creamy coconut milk and cashews. The result is a smooth, rich, sweet, chocolate and caramel drink that won’t leave you missing anything.
From Feb 2 – 14 we will offer “Merry Berry”, a raspberry hot chocolate using BC-grown organic raspberries (never with fake syrups). It will be served with a Raspberry Lemon Square.
Feel energized and join us at our Power Bar workshop on Sunday Jan 27 at 7pm. Make this delicious, versatile, easy + nutrient-dense snack with no refined sugar! We’ll help you customize your bars with a range of organic, vegan ingredients, using simple kitchen tools – choose to pack in vitamins, or be energized by healthy fats and amino acids! Buy tickets in store, over the phone – 604-707-0088, or online at Eventbrite.

Cafes around the city are crafting their best plant-based bowl for Vancouver Foodster’s #PlantBasedBowl challenge running from Feb 22-Mar 18. Our submission is a base of spinach and lettuce tossed in a creamy avocado lime dressing, with a side of spiced grilled tempeh by @Tempea, roasted smoky carrot sticks, crowned with crispy blue corn tortilla chips and finished off with sunflower sprouts from @GiddyUpAndGrow. It’s a rainbow of a dish!
Taste your way through the challenge and then vote at Vancouver Foodster’s Facebook page!
