Description
Star Anise resembles anise in flavour and comes from a medium-sized evergreen tree native to northeast Vietnam and southwest China. It is commonly used in Indian, Chinese, Malay and Indonesian cuisines, as well as commercial alcohol production. Healing properties include traditional use for rheumatism, to aid digestion, and as an antifungal. Grown in China.
