“Vancouver Aquarium Uncovered” screening on Apr 30

Vancouver Aquarium UncoveredOn Sun, April 30 we will be shutting down the produce section early at 7:15pm to make room to host a screening of the documentary, “Vancouver Aquarium Uncovered.” If you were outraged by “Blackfish” you’ll want to see this too. You’ll get to see what’s really going on behind the scenes of one of Vancouver’s main attractions.

The documentary starts at 7:45pm and goes till 9pm, with a Q&A with the director afterwards. There’s a $5 entrance fee which includes an organic tea and treat.

Organic starter plants have arrived

The first batch of organic starter plants has arrived! We have an assortment of beautiful and productive kale, cabbages, spinach, arugula, and lettuce starter plants that are keen to join your garden. In the coming weeks we’ll receive cauliflower, strawberries (*urban cultivated with organic compost in Alex’s home garden), herbs, tomatoes, zucchini, cucumber, winter squash, and more. All certified organic from Friesen Farms in Langley.

The Hot Chocolate Festival runs Jan 19-Feb 14

We’ve joined forces with 22 other venues for the 7th annual Hot Chocolate Festival from Jan 19-Feb 14! The festival brings together Vancouver’s best chocolatiers, pastry shops, bakeries, cafes, gelato and ice cream makers to make the humble hot chocolate hotter than it has ever been before.
Each venue is offering at least two drink+treat pairings which have been created specifically for the festival. Eternal Abundance is the only cafe to offer entirely vegan, organic, and gluten free (and nut free) entries:
~ Green Silk Kimono: our creamy white chocolate matcha creation paired with a housemade adzuki beanblack sesame shortbread cookie
~ Chaga Hot Chocolate: our house hot chocolate with a base of immune-boosting chaga mushroom. Served with a delectable Coconut Creme Truffle by Zimt Chocolates of North Vancouver

New Year’s Vegan Potluck (Sun, Jan 8)

Come one, come all! We’re hosting a New Years vegan potluck on Sun, Jan 8 with the lovely Emily von Euw of This Rawsome Vegan Life! It’s gonna be BIG with good folks and lots of plant-based grub! We hope you’ll be there too! Bring a dish for 5-8 ppl, your own plate, cup and cutlery, and an ingredient list for those with allergies or inquisitive minds. Our holiday hours are as follows:
Dec 24 ~ 9am – 4pm
Dec 25 & 26 ~ closed to enjoy the holidays
Dec 27 – 30 ~ regular hours
Dec 31 ~ 9am-9pm (or earlier if quiet)
Jan 1 & Jan 2 ~ closed for more rest
Jan 3 onwards ~ open regular hours

 

Holiday Customer Appreciation Day

Customer Appreciation DayOur monthly Customer Appreciation Day offers the entire market at 15% off. It takes place the last Wednesday of every month, except in December when it’s the Wednesday prior to Christmas. This year it falls on Wed, Dec 21.

Pick up fruit and veg, grains, spices, or a recipe book for the holiday meal. We also offer many practical healthy gifts for friends and family!
